JEWELLERY CARE

A little love goes a long way. Your jewellery works hard to make you shine, so a bit of care will keep it looking beautiful for years to come. From everyday wear to special moments, these simple tips will help protect your pieces, keep their sparkle alive, and make sure they’re always ready for their next outing. Think of it as self‑care… but for your jewels.

GENERAL CARE

  • Avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions and chemicals, as these can dull or damage your jewellery.

  • Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or doing household chores.

  • Store pieces separately in a dry, cool place to prevent scratching, tangling or tarnishing.

  • Clean gently using a soft cloth after wear to remove oils and residue.

  • Put jewellery on last when getting ready, and take it off first at the end of the day.

  • Avoid wearing jewellery while sleeping to reduce stress on chains and settings.

  • Keep jewellery away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

  • Handle with care, especially delicate chains, stones and clasps.

  • Use mild, non‑abrasive cleaning methods only—harsh cleaners can cause damage.

  • Wear your jewellery often—regular wear can help keep some metals looking their best.

GEMSTONE CARE

  • Gemstones can vary in hardness—handle all with care.

  • Avoid impact, pressure or dropping pieces onto hard surfaces.

  • Keep away from chemicals, perfumes and cleaning products.

  • Remove before water exposure, especially for porous stones.

  • Clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.

  • Store separately to prevent stones from scratching each other.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to maintain colour.

GOLD-PLATED CARE

  • Gold‑plated jewellery is delicate and requires extra care.

  • Avoid moisture, perfumes, lotions and chemicals to preserve the plating.

  • Remove before showering, swimming, sleeping or exercising.

  • Store separately in a soft pouch to prevent rubbing and wear.

  • Clean gently using a soft, dry cloth only.

  • Avoid polishing cloths or liquid cleaners, as these can wear away plating.

  • Treat with care to extend the life of the gold finish.

STERLING SILVER CARE

  • Sterling silver may naturally tarnish over time—this is normal.

  • Avoid water, perfumes, lotions and cleaning products.

  • Remove before showering, swimming or exercising.

  • Store in an airtight bag or jewellery box when not in use.

  • Gently polish with a soft silver cloth to restore shine.

  • Wear regularly—natural skin oils can help slow tarnishing.

  • Avoid harsh cleaners or abrasive materials.

Baking Soda & Water Cleaning  Method

  • Mix a small amount of baking soda with water to form a soft paste.

  • Using a soft cloth or clean fingertips, gently rub the paste onto the silver.

  • Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

  • Dry completely with a soft cloth before storing.

Important Tips

  • Use gentle pressure only — baking soda is mildly abrasive.

  • Avoid this method on oxidised, plated, or gemstone‑set jewellery.

  • Always test on a small, hidden area first.

  • Never use toothpaste, paper towels or harsh scrubbing tools.

  • Lightly clean with a natural method (lemon juice + baking soda), then rinse, dry thoroughly, and polish

  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals

Patina & Skin Reaction

  • Darkening or colour changes are normal and expected

  • Some skin types may experience temporary green or dark marks — this is harmless and washes off with soap and water

  • Each piece develops a unique finish over time, making it one of a kind
